Report for U13 Carbery League game Monday 02 Sept @ 6:15pm in Kilbrittain

 

Result:    Kilbrittain/Timoleague 3-2  Barryroe 2-2

It was again another nice and calm evening and it was the last match to be played in the U13 Carbery League for the Barryroe girls. 

It was Barryroe’s Ciara O’Sullivan that opened the scoring with a lovely point, followed by another fine point also from Ciara. Great goal keeping from Clodagh Maloney in the first half. 

In the second half the sun was slightly in the Barryroe girls’ eyes.  Kilbrittain/Timoleague won a free and scored a point from it.  Kilbrittain/Timoleague then went onto score three goals in a row.  Barryroe were totally off their guard in defense for the last one.  But Barryroe were determined and Ciara again burst through the Kilbrittain/Timoleague defense line to go on to score a beautiful goal.  Barryroe were hungry for more scores, this time it was Roisin Dullea, in mid field, who went on to score a super goal.  The final score of the match, a point, came from a free in favour of Kilbrittain/Timoleague.  It was an exciting game and kept gaining momentum.  Both Jessica McCarthy and Naomi Murphy had a great game in defense.
