Report for U13 Carbery “B” Semi Final game Wednesday 18th September @ 6:30pm in Kealkil

Result:    St. Colums      3-0  Barryroe   6-8

It was a beautiful September evening in Kealkil and conditions were ideal for a match.

The opening score, a goal, came from Therese McCarthy who followed that with another great goal.  Ciara O’Sullivan then went on to score a lovely point. St. Colum’s responded by scoring two goals in a row.  Barryroe then won a free which Ciara took & it was a great sight to see the ball sailing over the bar, another score for Barryroe.  Therese then got a super goal, followed by a very accurate point and the first half finished with a super point by Ciara.  There was no requirement for hawk eye in this half.

The second half opened with a goal from Ciara, followed by 2 points, the second point being created by Katie McCarthy. St. Colum’s were still determined and nearly scored only for the good reflexes of Barryroe’s Keeper, Clodagh Moloney.  Barryroe then won a free which Therese took who sent it over the bar.  Ciara then got another point.  Therese was in the ready position and management to score another great goal with the assistance of Megan Murphy.  St. Colum’s responded with a goal but Barryroe were not finished yet and Chloe Collins hurled in a fabulous goal before the final whistle was blown.
