Despite being game to the end, our young team were no match for a strong Inniscarra outfit on Sunday. Under pressure from the off, Clair Sexton levelled matters after an early Inniscarra point. On ten minutes, Eileen Carroll had to be alert to scoop a goal bound effort off the line, before the visitors then added two more points.
Denise O'Sullivan's point on 15 minutes, left just a point between the sides, but the Mid Cork side tacked on 1-04 before the break, to leave them ahead by 1-07 to 2 points at half-time.
The second half saw Inniscarra add three quick points, Mabhdh Sexton made a fine save, but minutes later the game was over as the visitors scrambled a second goal. A Claire Sectom point proved to be our last score of the match, while the visitors added a further 1-04 to run out convincing winners.
It's tough going for girls new to Senior camogie, but al least the spirit is good.
