Ibane Gaels Under 16 Footballers lost out to Urhan in the championship match played in Drimoleague.
Earlier in the season Ibane lost to the same opposition by six goals in the league, however, this was a much closer contest with little between the sides. After a tight first half Urhan led by three points with their goal coming just before half-time. Ibane fought hard after the break and with a goal from Liam Colberth led by a point with 15 minutes remaining. With ten minutes left the sides were level but Urhan got ahead in the closing stages to win on a score line of 1-08 to 1-05. Credit must go to the Ibane lads who put in fine performance against a strong Urhan outfit.
