On a lovely autumn day in Castle Road Cork, Barryroe lined out against Mallow in Senior B Semi-Final. Barryroe opened the scoring with a point from a free by Sile Burns. Great passing followed and resulted in a point from Claire Sexton. Mallow then opened their scoring with 2 points before Barryroe responded with another point from Claire Sexton. It was point for point until half time with Rachel Sheehy scoring 2 points before the end of first half. Barryroe 0-5 v Mallow 0-6.
Mallow pointed on the opening minutes of the second half and they upped their game in this half with tight marking and aggressive play. Sile Burns pointed 2 before Mallow took off with gusto. They pointed their next free, then a quick goal and point leaving Barryroe trailing 1-9 v 0-7. Sile Burns pointed 2 frees while Mallow gained point after point and final score. Barryroe 0-9 v Mallow 2-13.
