Saturday 12 Sep 2015Ibane U14H 'P2' - County Semi Final

Kilmurry NOTE VENUE CHANGE, 16:30PM

As Kilkenny regularly demonstrate and Cork may be finally learning, hurling is now a game of power firstly.  Ibane were game in Kilmurry today, but they faced a team that was bigger and stronger, not surprising with a large number of the Ibane  team under-age again next year.

Inniscarra had three points on the board, before an Adam Sweeney point opened the Ibane account. The Mid Cork side were to add 1-02 before Adam Mc Sweeney had a second Ibane score, and indeed by half time, the score was 2-07 to 0-02 points for Inniscarra.

The score might have been worse, but for a fine display by keeper Florence Whycherly. Ibane started the second half brightly, with Adam McSweeney having the first score, but they were to add just one more point from the impressive Cathal Sheehy, as Inniscarra ran out easy winner, with Ibane tireing visably.

As West Cork champions, this has been a good year for the team, and they should be there or there about again next year.
