A great game of hurling this evening by two very evenly matched teams.  It was a very exciting game from the word go.  Quick scores from Barryroe to start off with points from Jessica,  Claire Dullea & Roisin.  Then St. Colums starting applying the pressure with two goals followed swiftly by 2 points.  A super goal from Eimear just before half time kept Barryroe in the game.  Some great teamwork went on tonight, and it was great to see how much the girls have learnt from training all year.  Aine, Imelda, Ava & Alison did some great clearing in the backs while Eimear, Aishling & Chloe were very unlucky not to score again in the 2nd half.  Holly came out of goal and was replaced by Tara for the second half. Holly went up in the fowards and got a goal ten minutes in.  Ciara & Lauren & Claire Tobin all played well in and around midfield. Our subs came on then for some fresh legs,  Esther, Emma & Ellen.  Roisin scored another super point to give us a slight advantage which was followed by a goal by our sub Ellen O'Riordan. Colums were not finished yet though and came back to score another two goals which were followed by two fantastic points from Ciara.  We won by the narrowest of margins.  final score 3-6 - 4-2.  an enjoyable game which was  well played by both teams.  A nice cup of tea afterwards just to finish the evening off. A big thank you to all the parents for bringing refreshments and helping serve after the game.
