Barryroe 2-10  Aghabullogue 0-12

Barryroe made the journey to Ballincollig on Wednesday night to take on Aghabullogue in their penultimate hurling game under lights. With both sides keenly seeking the points, it was a well-contested encounter. Opening scores from Mark Crowley and Tadhg Harrington  saw Barryroe take an early lead before Aghabullogue gradually came into the game to lead 0-6 to 0-3, before some great scores by Tadhg Harrington (1-1) and Johnny O’Donovan from distance saw Barryroe take the lead at half-time 1-6 to 0-6. Barryroe stretched that lead to six in the third quarter, and with all six backs in fine form in front of Kieran Griffin in goal, seemed in control, before Aghabullogue found their second wind to narrow the gap to 2, before a deft flick by Brendan Coleman saw Barryroe stretch the lead to five just before the end before a late Aghabullogue point saw Barryroe win on a scoreline of 2-10 to 0-12.
