Barryroe entertained neighbours Arigdeen Rangers in the Michael Holland Intermediate Hurling semi-final on Sunday morning. At the of the hour the visitors claimed the spoils after a good game of hurling from both sides in mid March. The visitors started well, racing into a 0-4 to 0-1 lead before a few frees from Johnny O'Donvan levelled matters mid-way through the first half.   Both Sides exchanged further scores before excellent scores from David O'Sullivan, Gearoid Whelton and Kieran Griffin from 80 meters gave Barryroe a 0-10 to 0-8 lead.

Within two minutes of the start of the second-half the lead had swung the other way as a goal and a point were conceded. From there to the end, scores were harder to come by with both defences well on top.  Points from Tadhg Harrington and Johnny O'Donovan and a great goal from Jack Murphy following a pentrating break by David O'Sullivan saw the game close out on a 1-12 to 1-14 score line with. Barryroe will take on Kilbrittain next week in the Intermmediate Hurling league.
