Barryroe U12 Footballers had their first outing of the season on Sunday 20th in a challenge match away to Ahan Gaels.
In an absorbing and close contest throughout, Barryroe ran out eventual winners on a score of 1-9 to 1-6
After Ahan set the early running and registered a couple of scores, Barryroe responded with a goal and a couple of points.
Barryroe stretched their lead to 4 points at half time.
The second half continued in a similar vein, Ahan brought the lead back to a point, but Barryroe finished strongly with a couple of late points.
