Barryroe, 19:00PM

There was not too much to be learned from this one-sided game at a freezing Barryroe on Sunday. Kanturk were very much under-strength, a howling wind blew towards the dressing room goal, and the home side had first use of the elements.

John O'Donovan had a couple of early points. Wing back Timmy Carroll added one and Kieran Griffin sandwiched a Kanturk point with a brace of his own.

Minutes later, Timmy Carroll's long range clearance found it's way to the Kanturk net. John O'Donovan, Mike O'Brien, John Whelton and Kieran Hurley added points, with Clive Cahalane doing the donkey work for a number of those scores.

Just before the break, the North Cork had a second point, to leave Barryroe ahead by 1-13 to 0-2 at the break.

Gearóid had the first point of the second half as we now faced the gale and Kanturk had three points in a row, before John  O'Donovan, Gearóid Whelton and Mike O'Brien answered with three points for Barryroe.

The visitors added a point, John O'Donovan replied, before Kanturk ended with a flourish adding a goal and two points.

The game however was over long before this.
