Barryroe, 19:00PM

Barryroe  1-02                                Kilbree     1-03

As well as the bitter cold, both teams had freezing showers to contend with and this resulted in a low scoring match. Although low scoring,  it was always close and kept the frozen spectators interested.

The visitors had the best of the opening spell and keeper Liam Colbert had to make a couple of smart saves. Kilbree opened the scoring on the twenty minute mark with a point, but Ryan O'Donovan levelled shortly after. That proved to be the last score before the break, so we turned around at a point a piece.

Five minutes after the break Kilbree pointed, but within minutes we were level again when Michael Whelton pointed a 65.

Coming up to the twenty minute mark, the visitors had a goal, but we kept goingand with seven minutes on the clock, Ryan O'Donovan levelled with a long range goal.

It was nip and tuck for the last few minutes, but we conceded a soft free late on and Kilbree edged ahead again. We had a couple of half chances before the end, but cound not close the gap.
