Ibane were beaten in the U16 A Hurling Championship played in Newcestown. This is a round robin competition with Clonakilty also involved. Ibane play Clon next and need to win to make the final. Ibane had the wind and sun to their backs in the 1st half and led at half time 3-06 to 1-06. It was a different story in the 2nd half as Kilmeen took over and with time almost up led by 4, Ibane tried hard for the goal to bring them back into it but their only reward was a point.
