Barryroe welcomed Ballinascarthy to Páirc Uí Mhurchú for their opening Junior 3 league fixture of the season on Sunday morning last. After a promising start from the home side a flurry of scores late in the half saw the visitors retire at the short whistle leading 1-08 to 0-04. Ballinascarthy controlled the majority of the second period despite some strong resistance from brothers Sean and Michael Ryan and netminder Conor O'Regan. Robbie Kiely getting a consolation goal for Barryroe as the visitors ran out deserved winners 3-14 to 1-07.
