Barryroe Junior Camogie suffered a recent defeat in their league at the hands of a much-fancied Youghal side on Wednesday 19th last in Páirc Uí Mhurchú. Although Barryroe battled hard and were still in with a shout at half time, going in 7 points down, Youghal regrouped in the second half and showed a tremendous display of fitness and accuracy, finishing on a scoreline of Youghal 2-19, Barryroe 1-07. Special mention must go to new recruit Caoimhe Doyle from Wexford who stepped up to the mark, donning the No.1 jersey for the first time in her playing career, and putting in a very courageous performance between the posts.
