In their second match in the group stage of the U17 Hurling Cahmpionship Ibane overcame a very tough challenge from Ballinora to get their first points on the board. Ibane started well with a goal from Daire Walsh and another from Jack Twomey gave them an interval lead of 2-07 to 1-07. The second half was a physical hard fought game the critical score being a goal from Luke Murphy to leave Ibane winning on a score of 3-12 to 1-14
