U12s trip to Tipp

On Wednesday last, the Barryroe U12 hurlers made the trip to Semple Stadium, Thurles for a hurling blitz organised by the Munster Council. They played four competitive games against Moycarkey Borris (Tipperary), Murroe Boher (Limerick), Bodyke/O’Callaghans Mills (Clare) and Killenaule (Tipperary) before being taken on a brief but interesting tour of the famous old stadium. This was a great opportunity for the lads to play on the hallowed turf (immaculately prepared as usual) and to pit their skills against strong hurling clubs from some of the other counties across Munster. Credit must go to the Munster Council and Rebel Og Coaching for organising this worthwhile event.
