Ireland Lights Up 2024

Do you want to get moving and active this New Year, but you have nowhere to go? Do you find it hard to find a safe well-lit area to go for a walk during the dark winter months? Well, Barryroe GAA & Camogie Club has the answer!
We're coming on board with the RTÉ show Operation Transformation and the GAA for Ireland Lights Up. Every Thursday evening commencing on the 18th January we invite you to come and walk with us at the track in Páirc Uí Mhurchú where the floodlights will be switched on from 7pm to 8pm. The aim is to make exercise more accessible on dark winter nights and to offer our local community an opportunity to get together and socialise healthily. Walking is proven to benefit both our physical and mental health.
We want everyone to come and join us for Ireland Lights Up 2024! This is a free event open to everyone.
