Barryroe played host to Ballincollig on Friday night in their latest Division 3 Hurling League game. The men "from the village" were well on top over the course of the hour and only for some poor shooting in the first half could well have been out of sight at the short whistle, as they led 6 points to 3 at half time. Barryroe first half scores coming from Johnny O'Donovan (2 frees) and Richy Fleming from play. Ballincollig up the ante at the start of the second half and two quickfire goals had them out of sight. Barryroe battled to the end but were no match for their slicker opponents, final score Barryroe 0-06 Ballincollig 3-15.
