Ibane Gaels had a good lead of 2-08 to 0-03 built up at half time in this Minor Football league game played in Newcestown and they needed it all to withstand a great fightback in the 2nd half. Ibane were well on top in the 1st half playing good football with the goals coming from Matthew Lawton and Brian O'Donovan. Another Ibane goal early in the 2nd period by Aaron Knowles seemed to have the points wrapped up but back came Newcestown and from there to then end they took complete control and in the end Ibane were lucky to win out on a final score of 3-11 to 2-12. A good workout for both teams with plenty to work on .
