Ibane had too much for an Owen Gaels side missing their county stars in the minor hurling league played on a nice surface in Ballinascarthy. Ibane were in control from the off and led at half time 2-12 to 0-06, Micheal Whelton getting the goals. The 2nd half continued in the same vein as the 1st with Ibane well on top with Micheal completing his hat trick with a close range finish, Owen Gaels did pull a goal back towards the end to leave the final score Ibane 3-16 to 1-09 winners.
