Ibane Gaels 3-09 Ahan Gaels 1-11

The weather wasn't great for a night in late June for this league game played in Barryroe and it was the home side who came out  triumphant on a score line of 3-09 to 1-11. Not much between the teams in the first half in term's of ability, the difference being Ibanes 2 goals courtesy of Micheal Whelton and Sean Sexton leaving the score 2-04 to 0-05 at half time.

Ahan came into the game big time in the second half and had reduced the lead to a single point by the 40th minute, Ibane upped their game and a couple of points from Ryan O'Donovan gave Ibane breathing space. Ahan hit back with a goal of their own and Ibane had Keith Kelly to thank for a great save as the pressure came on. It was the home side who finished better a great individual goal from Micheal and a point from Adam McSweeney wrapped up the league points on offer.
