A Jack Murphy exhibition of free taking ensured the home side picked up their first league win of the season on Tuesday evening last. After a bright opening Barryroe raced into the lead which was only relinquished on the stroke of half time with a well taken Blackrock major, leaving the visiting side leading 1-09 to 0-11.
Barryroe with Johnny Donovan, Pa Moloney and Jack Murphy doing well around the middle, and owing to poor discipline from Blackrock kept the score board ticking over throughout the second half.
Next up for Barryroe is a league meeting with Kildorrey away on Sunday.
