Barryroe rounded off their hurling league fixtures with a competitive home game against Western Gaels. Barryroe started brightly and led at half-time by 2-01 to 0-04. It was nip and tuck for most of the second half but the Kilmichael/Iveleary combination finished strongly scoring four crucial second half goals to run out worthy winners. Whilst disappointed not to finish their campaign with a win, the Barryroe lads can feel satisfied with their efforts on the night. A little tightening up at the back and a bit more efficiency up front would have reversed the results in the last two games so there’s plenty to work on in training (and at home!) over the summer break. Well done lads.
