At a very wet and windy Ardfield venue Bandon proved too good for Ibane in this second round U21B Football Championship game. Bandon played with the elements in the first half and while physically stronger they were aided by the concession of two very soft goals to lead at half time 3-05 to 0-02. An uphill task soon became mountainous when Bandon added on 2-01, the move of Jack Lawton to full forward payed dividends for Ibane as he ended up with 3-00 to his name, Ryan O'Donovan's free taking helped to reduce the deficit however the lead was too big and Bandon won by 5-06 to 3-06.
