Report for U13 Carbery Championship game Saturday 14th September @ 4pm in Kilbrittain

Result:    Kilbrittain/Timoleague 4-2  Barryroe 1-4

This was the preliminary round of the Carbery Championship.  The winners go on to play Enniskeane in the “A” semi-finals and the losers go on to play St. Colums in the “B” semi-finals.

The opening score was a point from a free (45) in favour of Kibrittain/Timoleague.  In the second half, Ciara O’Sullivan opened the scoring with a point.  The next score, a goal, came from Kilbrit/Timol but Barryroe’s Ciara O’Sullivan responded by blasting in a goal. Kilbrit/Timol then went on to score 2 goals in a row.  Ciara broke down K/Ts defense line to go on to score a point but K/T responded again with a point and a goal.  It was Therese McCarthy’s turn to be on target, scoring a great point from play and finally the last point of the match was scored again by Ciara.

Barryroe had a couple of chances of scoring and got to the goal mouth on a number of occasions but just could not get the sliotar over the line.

Great work from Grace Tobin in the half forward line and great effort from Eva Scallan-Dowd in the full forward line.
