Ibane Gaels under 15 hurlers made a winning start to their campaign with a deserved 2-11 to 0-8 victory over Ballinora in Ballinora on Sunday morning. Having made a bright start to lead 1-3 to no score the home team came back into the game in the second quarter to reduce the deficit at half time to 2 points - 1-4 to 0-5. Ibane Gaels produced a good all round team performance in the second half to run out 9 points winners at the end of a keenly contested game. The next round sees near neighbours Kilbrittain provide the opposition in what should be another hard fought contest.
