Our u18 camogie team took on Ballygarvan in the County Championship match last Sat, on a wet and very windy evening under lights. Ballygarvan opened the scoring with a point followed by a point by Hannah Whelton. A free from Marie Dineen gave us the lead by a point. Great play and passing from Elena Dineen, Rebecca McCarthy and Claire Sexton giving Hannah another chance of a point which she converted. Marie Dineen then followed with a kick over the bar, another lovely point.  0-4v0-1. Ballygarvan fought back and scored two consective goals and a point before Marie Dineen finished off the first half with a point. 0-5 v 2-2.
Second half Claire Sexton opened with a point. Followed by Hannah Whelton. Marie Dineen was fouled which she scored from a pointed free to level the game. Quick goal from Sarah Dineen put us in front. Ballygarvan took their point. Solo from Marie Dineen just went wide. Another great solo by Marie and a great pass into Hannah Whelton who scored a goal.

Final Barryroe score 45 converted by Marie Dineen(point). Ballygarvan took one final goal to leave the score 2-9 v 3-4. We are now through to the quarter finals to play the winners of Clon/St.Colms v Millstreet.
