A young Ibane team had to give way to a stronger Kilbrittain team in this Minor Hurling league game played in Timoleague. The Kilbrittain side made full use of the wind in the 1st half and led at half time by 2-08 to 1-02, Micheal Whelton with the Ibane goal. An improved performance in the 2nd half meant Ibane were much more competitive and while they never looked like winning they can take great heart from the way they put it up to the championship favourites in the 2nd period, Micheal adding another goal and Nicholas Bakker getting the 3rd, his 1st ever goal for Ibane.
