On a fine night for hurling, the home side just about held on to take the points. Against the breeze in the first half, Barryroe were well on top and points from Clive Cahalane, Timmy Carroll, Adrian Fleming, John O'Donovan and Kieran Griffin gave Barryroe a 12pts to 6 lead at the interval.
The visitors came more into the game after the break and out scored the home side by 1-6 to 4 points. Not ideal preparation with the championship just a week away, but the points keep us in the running for league honour
