Friday 15 Mar 2013Intermediate Hurling - League

Newtownshandrum, 19:00PM

We travelled north to Newtownshandrum to meet Milford in the league and came away with a point, but it could have been more.

We were 10pts to 6 down at the break, with our scores coming from Johnnie Donovan 4pt, (3f) Adrian Fleming and Dave O Sullivan.

We scored 2-6 in the second half and it could have been much more but for a huge number of wides. Brendan Coleman flicked home a fine poacher's goal, while Kieran Hurley was credited with our other goal.

We however were three points down approaching the final whistle, but three quick points brought us level and when we got our second goal heading for injury time, it looked as it we would take the points.

We failed to deal with a long ball deep in injury time  alas, and allowed the North Cork side in for the levelling score.

Three points out of four this week, but the games showed the areas we have to work on if we hope to advance in the Summer.
