In the Micheal Holland Cup played in Clonakilty on a night where a bitterly cold cross wind made conditions very difficult for scoring, Barryroe were beaten by 1 point 1-10 to 2-06. Clonakilty led by 0-05 to 0-03 at half time and were good value for their lead. Barryroe got back in the game when a high ball from Timothy Carroll ended up in the net, Clon replied with a goal of their own but another Barryroe goal from David O'Sullivan put Barryroe back in front by a point but two late points for Clon gave them the win.
