Barryroe U10 boys took part in a football blitz this morning in sun drenched Newcestown.
We had 2 teams of 8 players.
Team 1 managed by TJ O'Donovan consisted of Zac Farrell, Luke Murphy, Alphie Walsh, Michael O Donovan, Daniel Moloney, Ben O'Dwyer, Killian Kirby and Sean Flynn.
They played Diarmuid O'Mathunas, Sam Maguire’s and Kilbrittain.
Team 2 managed by Norman Fleming consisted of Ted O'Sullivan, Dermot Dineen, Donnacha Coackley, Aaron Fleming, Adam Sexton, Colm Kirby, Brian Sheehy and Se Gannon.
They played Ballinascarty, Sam Maguire’s and Kilbrittain.
Special thanks to our young ref on the day Michael Walsh and also to the parents who encouraged the lads throughout.
It was great to see the lads tackling and blocking down as we have worked on it in training. There was also plenty of fine attacking play and score taking.
Next up we are playing our near neighbours Argideen Rangers on Thursday night in Timoleague at 7pm in a football match.
