On Sunday last it was our U12 girls who took to the pitch to take on St. Colums. With alot of girls on holidays it was agreed that we would play 10 a side. Barryroe started strong and with some nice passes it was Ellen O'Riordan who found the space to take a shot for goal from a long way out but got it in the back of the net, this was followed shortly by a point from her. The girls played well together and were quick to get back and defend when needed. Holly had 2 points scored which was followed by a great goal from Nicole. Ellen managed to get another goal before half time which gave Barryroe a comfortable advantage. Colums were unlucky not to score but that was also due to great defending Imelda & Alison and our goalies - Emma in the first half and Claire Tobin in the second half. Ellie Fleming Hand was unlucky not to score in the 2nd half when it just went wide of the goal. We had two great subs brought from our u10 squad - Leah Fleming Hand and Jill McCarthy and they played super when they came on. Between Madelin and Lucy playing up in the forwards there were a few more attempts on goal and their perseverance paid off when Lucy scored a great goal towards the end of the game .

Final score 4-03 - 0-00. Win for Barryroe.
