Having met in Timoleague last month, Barryroe U8 boys hosted Argideen Rangers in the return fixture in glorious sunshine on Saturday morning last. There were a couple of very enjoyable hurling games to start with before switching to the big ball where the lads’ efforts never waned. The skill, effort and sportsmanship on display from both sides was top class. The huge number of blocks was a very welcome feature of the hurling games while the high catching in the football was very impressive. Well done all. Afterwards, the players were treated to some welcome and well deserved refreshments – thanks to those who helped with the catering.
