Ibane Gaels 0-03 Newcestown 0-09

Ibane Gaels bowed out of this year's Clona Milk U21 'A' Football Championship in Ballinascarthy earlier today after a disappointing performance. Ibane Gaels playing against the elements in the first half were first to settle and with Mark Crowley nailing a mamoth 45th led 0-01 to no score after 10 minutes. With both defences well on top, scores were at a premium and after 25 minutes the scores were tied at 0-03 apiece. Both teams retired at the short whistle with Newvestown leading 0-04 to 0-03 and much was expected of Ibane playing into the dressing room goal in the second half. Alas this was as good as it got for Ibane as for the duration of the second half they failed to register a score. Newcestown running out deserved winners after a strong second half performance 0-09 to 0-03.
