Our U8 footballers travelled to Ardfield last Saturday morning for their second football blitz of the season. After plenty of overnight rain the sun shone at the picturesque and busy seaside venue and a great morning's football was had by all. Well done to all 250 players from 28 clubs who took part and especially to GDA James McCarthy and host club St. James for their organisation.
Barryroe fielded two evenly matched teams with Team 1 playing Newcestown, St. Colms (1) and St. Colms (2) while Team 2 faced Newcestown, Clonakilty and Diarmuid O’Mathunas.
Team 1: Callum Collins, Ollie Hunt, Josh Twomey, Sean O’Connor, Anthony Hunt, Dan Morse, Fionn Harrigan & Harrison Twomey.
Team 2: Mike O’Connor, Conrad Murphy, Conor Fleming, Liam Fleming, Paraic Coakely, JJ Flynn, Tadgh Walsh & Jason Sweetnam.
