Conditions were ideal for the match where the West Cork girls took on the East Cork girls. The opening score came from Ciara O’Sullivan, a pointed free. Midleton replied with a point. Next it was Jessica McCarthy who sent a beautiful point over the bar.  Ciara again pointed from a free and from play. Midleton scored a further point. Ciara cancelled this out. Aideen O’Riordan and Grace Tobin were working hard in midfield keeping a regular supply of ball into our forward line.  Barryroe led 0-05 to 0-02 at the break.

The second half opened with a super goal from Claire Tobin. Roisin Dullea was not going to let any ball pass her with support from Aine Moloney and Naomi Murphy.  Ciara pointed from play with great assistance from Ciara Collins. Claire Dullea, making her debut with U16s, went on to score a beautiful point. Chloe Collins was being very creative in her play.  Eva Scallan Dowd, Andrea Tobin and Sarah O’Regan were doing some trojan work in the half back line. Some fabulous saves from Therese McCarthy kept a clean sheet in this half.  Lauren Tobin and Aishling McKeogh, who also made her debut, proved they could hurl with the best of them. Ciara sent two more points over the bar to increase her tally further before the final whistle blew.
