Ibane Gaels were narrowly defeated by Clonakilty 3-09 to 2-09 at Ballinascarthy in the quarter final of the West Cork Region Under 14 'A' football championship. A gale force wind assisted Ibane in the first half and they were ahead 2-07 to 1-01 at half time. Clonakilty availed of wind advantage in the second half and scored at ease, they also restricted Ibane to just two points and that in truth was the difference in the end.
