Ibane Gaels qualified for the semi-final of the minor A football championship with a hard fought victory over Bandon at a wet and windy Ahiohill.
The Ibane lads raced into a three point lead after ten minutes. Bandon settled into the game and were two points up at half time. Playing into the elements in the second half the Ibane lads upped their performance and led by three with ten minutes remaining. Bandon responded and were a point up with time running out. Great credit must go to the youthful Ibane lads who finished with two points in injury time to emerge victorious on a score line of 1-09 to 1-08.
