It will be a meeting of last years finalists Ibane and Newcestown in this years U21 A Hurling Championship Semi-Final after Ibane came out on top in this first round clash v Bandon.
The wind was a factor in Ahiohill and Ibane who played with it led 1-12 to 1-06 at half time, Ryan O'Donovan getting the goal. Ibane increased their lead in the second half and stood firm as Bandon made an all out effort to salvage the game late on to win 1-18 to 1-14.
