Barryroe 3-18 Clonakilty 1-07

A devasting 3-14 return from the inside line saw Barryroe overcome Clonakilty in a windy Ahiohill on Sunday evening. Barryroe dominated from trap to line and quickly established 1-03 to no score lead with five minutes on the clock. Donal Ó Buachalla with the punched goal following a high delivery from Ryan. Olan and Brian O'Donovan tagged on further points before a second Donal goal on the stroke of half time left Barryroe leading 2-07 at the short whistle. Ryan, Donal, Brian and Tomas all added points in the early stages of the second period before a Ryan goal on 38 minutes finished the game as a contest. Ryan picked out with a sublime pass by Robbie. Olan, Adam and Donal added further scores to see Barryroe home with a commanding 3-18 to 1-07 victory. In difficult conditions for forwards Barryroe scored a remarkable 3-17 from play with Ryan's mark the only dead ball score. Barryroe's final group game will be against St. Colums currently scheduled for the weekend of the 10th September (date, venue and time tbc). A result will see us top the group.
