On Monday evening a young Ibane Gaels side travelled to Ardfield to take on Fastnet Gaels in the Under 14 C Hurling championship, Fielding only two players on the age of fourteen the Ibane lads put up a spirited performance, The Gabriels/Mizen boys led by two goals at half-time and their physical strength enabled them to run out worthy winners. Ibane had some outstanding players on the night especially Michael O’ Donovan ,Donnacha Coakley & Cillian Kirby in the backs Luca Arets & Luke Murphy (centre field), Colm Kirby, Dermot Dineen, Jack Twomey & Aaron Fleming in the forwards.
