Church Award for Maura Whelton

Maura Whelton, Tirnanean, has been granted an award by Pope Leo for both her church and community work: sacristy from which she is retiring, parish, VdeP, legion, camogie, etc. There will be two parts to a celebration on Sunday, 19 April: Bishop Fintan will present Maura with the medal at the end of 10 am Mass in Barryroe, then a simple, informal reception of food and music in Barryroe National School from 11 am. All neighbours and parishioners are cordially invited, even if you can only drop in for ten minutes to the school and have a couple of sandwiches and a cake, you're very much welcome. Thank you.
