And that's a wrap for CĂșl Camp 2026!

10 August, 2026

And just like that, our 2026 Cúl Camp has come to an end!

We finished off a brilliant week in style with another action-packed day in Barryroe. Liam Colbert gave a fantastic nutrition talk to our older groups, while the much-anticipated Barryroe Olympics took place, with plenty of fun, laughter and friendly competition throughout the day!

We were also delighted to welcome Cork Camogie players Amy McCarthy and Claire Kingston to the camp. A huge thank you to both for taking the time to visit and to Jennifer Mythen for organising their visit.

As we bring another fantastic Cúl Camp to a close, there are so many people who deserve our thanks. To all of our coaches, helpers, traffic stewards and everyone who gave their time throughout the week – your help was hugely appreciated. Thank you also to all the parents and, most importantly, the children who made the week such an enjoyable and memorable one.

A special thank you to Sean Gough for his fantastic magic show earlier in the week and to Vincent Hurley for taking the time to come and visit us.

A huge thank you also to Dan and Clara Moloney for their generous sponsorship of our BBQ and to Barryroe Co-op for their sponsorship and continued support.

Our end-of-camp BBQ wouldn’t have been possible without June Kirby and Michelle Fleming, who did a fantastic job cooking, along with all of the local parents who helped out. Thanks also to Micheal Hurley for the use of his BBQ.

This year also marked the end of an era, as June Kirby and Margaret Cahalane finished up with the Cúl Camp BBQ after an incredible 16 years of helping out. A massive thank you to both June and Margaret for their dedication and all the time and effort they have given over the years – it certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Finally, a very special thank you to our Cúl Camp coordinators Gill, Elaine, Eimear and Niamh, whose hard work behind the scenes helped make the entire week such a success.

This year also sees Gill finish up as a coordinator, and we would like to thank her sincerely for everything she has done for the camp. Thankfully, Elaine, Eimear and Niamh will be continuing on, and we know the camp will be in very safe hands!

A brilliant week from start to finish, with plenty of memories made along the way. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making Barryroe Cúl Camp 2026 such a success!
