Barryroe GAA hurling parish league commenced at a packed Páirc Uí Mhurchú on Tuesday evening. Weeks of preparation finally came to fruition, and thankfully the rain held off as 27 young players representing their Parish League teams of Broadstrand, Blindstrand, Dunworley & Barryscove took to the field for Week 1 fixtures.

A big thank you to Tom Farrell for sponsoring some stunning-looking jerseys, which are very much appreciated by all. A massive well done to all the U8 / U9 / U10 coaches for reinvigorating this concept, and we look forward to some great games over the coming weeks as all teams will be looking to lift the B&M O'Brien Barra Rua Comórtas Iománaíochta Trophy on finals day!
