West Cork Final Here We Come!
15 October, 2026
WEST CORK FINAL HERE WE COME!
A massive well done to our Junior A footballers and management team who booked their place in the Bandon Co-Op Carbery Junior A Football Championship Final following a fantastic 1-13 to 0-13 victory over Tadhg MacCarthaighs in Dunmanway last Friday night!
A brilliant performance saw the lads dig deep and hold firm against a determined Tadhg MacCarthaighs side.
NOW, ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE WEST CORK FINAL!
This will be just the fifth West Cork Junior A Football Final in our club’s history. After the heartbreak of final defeats in 1980, 1994 and 2003, We finally got our hands on the coveted Mick McCarthy Cup for the very first time in 2023.
Now, just three years later, we have the opportunity to write our names into the history books once again and bring the West Cork title back to the parish!
IT’S TIME TO PAINT THE PARISH BLUE!
We are calling on everyone in Barryroe and the surrounding areas to get behind the lads in the build-up to the big day!
And to our Barryroe diaspora, scattered across Ireland and around the world, we haven’t forgotten about ye either! No matter how far from home you may be, you’re still very much part of the Barryroe family. Get those blue colours flying wherever you are and show the lads that the support of our parish stretches far beyond the Barryroe boundaries!
- Get the blue flags flying!
- Dust off the bunting and decorate your homes, businesses and roadsides!
- Let’s turn the entire parish into a sea of blue and show the lads just how much this means to our community!
There is something truly special about a West Cork final, and occasions like this are what make our club and community so special. The support has been incredible throughout the year, and now we need everyone to come together for one more push!
CLUB COLOURS & MERCHANDISE
We will have Barryroe merchandise available to purchase in Barryroe Co-Op and The Grange Tavern in the lead-up to the final. More information on what’s available and prices will follow shortly, so keep an eye on our social media pages and website!
