Beset  by injuries and with a number of other players unavailable, we never the less put up a good show against the Innishannon side. We had early scores from Claire Tyndal, (2), Deborah O'Leary and Síle Burns to go 4-1 up. Maebhdh Sexton made a vital save on twenty minutes.

Geraldine Collins and Kate Whelton added points, but just before the break, the visitors struck for the first goal of the game, before Claire Tyndal's point levelled the scores at the break, 0-07 to 1-04.

An early goal put Valley Rovers back in front and when they added another six minutes mater, it looked a lost cause, but we kept going and 1-02 from Síle Burns and a Rachel Sheehy point, left just two points between the sides.

We had a couple of late half chances in front of goal in the dying minutes, but the visitors held on for a 1-10 to 3-06 win.

A good display from an under strength Barryroe team, who never gave up.
