Barryroe booked their place in the Co-Op Superstores Premier Junior Hurling Championship semi-finals after a thrilling 3-19 to 0-26 victory over Cloughduv. Barryroe endured a difficult start, falling 0-6 to 0-0 behind after just eight minutes, but a superb response, inspired by two Luke Murphy goals, saw them turn the game around to lead 2-9 to 0-11 at half-time. Cloughduv fought back strongly after the break and the sides were level at 2-18 to 0-24 approaching the closing stages. Murphy then completed a brilliant hat-trick with a crucial goal on 59 minutes before adding a late free as Barryroe held firm through a tense finish to secure a memorable two-point victory and a place in the county semi-final.
