Kilmeen 1-10 Ibane Gaels 0-07

Ibane were always playing catch up in this U21B Football Quarter Final played in Ballinascarthy. Kilmeen played with the hill and led by 2 points to nil before Jack Cahalane opened Ibanes scoring  account , scores were hard to come by on a heavy surface and as half time approached Kilmeen led by 0-05 to 0-02 but 2 points in injury time gave them a half time lead of 0-07 to 0-02  Kilmeen got the 1st 2 points of the second half to lead by 7 but credit to Ibane  they raised their game and by 45 minutes the score read 0-09 to 0-05 in favour of Kilmeen ,this was as good as it got for Ibane as Kilmeen got the crucial goal which allowed them to run out winners by 1-10 to 0-07 Ibane lost nothing in defeat as they had to line out without 2 of their better players through injury and all bar 1 of this team is eligible for next year.
